LIZARD^® EMA LP851 INTELLIGENT PROBE

The new LIZARD^® LP851 electro-magnetic array probe designed and manufactured by NEWT International Limited is the first of our range of probes now being fitted with identification circuits. These are programmed with the probe type and serial number and other unique information on the individual probe.

The LP851 will be able to communicate with the future generation of LIZARD^® host instruments, which will read the identification information from the attached probe. This data will include setup information relevant to that probe and offer the option to apply these settings to the subsequent operation of the system. Therefore there will be no need to re-input constant information before use unless desired.

The LIZARD^® LP851 can also be used with the existing range of LIZARD^® host instruments as a standard probe. Designed originally for use by a large theme park in Florida; its slim-line construction is ideal for the detection of small cracks in welds at the edge of parent plates, weld corners and a variety of "tight access" applications.

The LP851 possesses a 3mm compound lift-off and comes with a resilient stainless steel wear face and integrated head electronics (no bulky cable boxes!). It is supplied with a standard 2.5m cable.

This probe is a direct replacement for the LP850. The LP851 has new miniaturised electronics integrated into the probe head which has also improved the probe's signal to noise ratio and increased sensitivity.
