LIZARD^® EMA INTELLIGENT PROBES

All LIZARD^® electro magnetic array probes designed and manufactured by NEWT International Limited are now being fitted with identification circuits. These are programmed with the probe type and serial number and other unique information on the individual probe.

The new generation of host instruments can read the identification information from the attached probe. Each time the system recognises the connection of a new probe it would seek a file which contains the system set-up information relevant to that probe and offer the option to apply these settings to the subsequent operation of the system. Therefore there is now no need to re-input constant information before use unless desired.

The identification circuit would also carry data such as the date of manufacture of the probe and its latest refurbishment or check.

The probe type and serial number will be logged with each scan along with the host instrument's information, this greatly improves the traceability of the equipment used to perform inspections.
