Lizard®
M8 DIVE System
Subsea DiveScan

LIZARD® Subsea DiveScan Systems - Easily deployable, ruggedised
and remote controlled operation for deep subsea inspection work.
An Industry standard unit, complete portable field proven, self-contained
Electromagnetic Crack Detection and Sizing system for structural inspection.
Consisting of:
- PC Interface and Controller (M8-Dive unit)
- Subsea Unit - DDPU (rated to 23bar)
- Digital comms wire link up to 1.2 km with Phantom Power.
- Fully intrinsically isolated low voltage power, for safe operation.
- Inspection Software: LISS.
Lizard® M8-Dive - provides uncompromising performance
in one low cost instrument whether your need is eddy current, Lizard®
AC Field Measurement or advanced Lizard® Field Gradient
Imaging (FGI) inspection.
If your background is in phase plane eddy current inspection work, M8-Dive
provides a familiar and easy to understand interface within a Windows
environment, with context sensitive help files built in. The same tool
allows you to move into Lizard® AC Field Measurement, EMA
or FGI modes for more complex inspections at no extra cost. Compliant
with EN1711 inspection work.
Crack depth calculations are based upon initial mathematical modelling
further enhanced by advanced algorithms. Functionality checks demanded
by international standards and quality assurance procedures are stored
to provide high reliance on validity of inspection data.
A standard "plug and play" connection via USB or RS232 connects
to any laptop or PC running a Windows OS.
Smaller, lighter and with more capabilities than any other equipment
on the market.
With a Lizard® Probe the operator has a choice of continuing
in phase plane mode (For small / single array sensors) or switching to
Lizard® AC Field Measurement or EMA / FGI operation where
our patented planar array probes can be utilised. The software provides
geometric and lift-off correction for inspection through varying thickness
of coating.
